You can check this encryption by checking for the key (Netscape) or lock (Internet Explorer) icon on the browser. If you have the security feature of your browser turned on, a dialog box notifying you that you are entering a secure page will pop up when the page loads.
Firewall Security

1st Option Realty uses leading firewall and network security technology to protect our internal computer systems from unauthorized access. A firewall is a set of specialized software and hardware that prevents unauthorized access to your data. It acts as a security guard to your personal information. Network security technology prevents any person from accessing the company's databases at any office without password authorization.
Off-Line Storage

Access to all loan processing locations is limited to authorized company personnel. All paper documentation is shredded before leaving the office.

Passwords and Customer Status

1st Option Realty provides you with 24 hour access to your account status. Access to this information across the Internet is only allowed through the use of a user ID and password. Our system will prompt you for your ID and password and prevents intruders from seeing your personal information. In addition, 1st Option Realty has designed the customer status system to relay minimal personal data beyond transaction information. For example, the customer status report has no social security number or other account numbers on the report.

Cookies

When you come to our site, we may give you a cookie. This is a small file stored by the web browser on your computer. Using cookies, our system can recognize you and what you were working on during previous visits to our site. Cookies will not adversely affect your computer's hard drive or spread a virus. Setting your browser to reject cookies will not affect you at 1st Option Realty except that you may be required to re-enter certain information.
